The Vase
Yesterday's blog showed the top of the vase; here it is in its entirety. So beautiful. I'm not sure that I could ever put a flower into it. Any rose would look too coarse; a lily would be too tall; wild flowers couldn't match its sophistication.
It occurred to me that one might fill it with champagne to toast the genius of its creator but … the rippling rim. A few drops of Dom Perignon trickling down my waistcoat! No, no. Let's just leave it to its beauty, gaze and feel it lift us above the everyday.
